Response Results
On behalf of the leadership team of RUMC, I am here to share this summary of the results of the two questions that the leadership sought your input on.
First, We would like to thank everyone who responded! In addition, to those who chose to add comments to your response, we thank you for your insights! Those insights will help our church as we move forward in ministry.
The Results are as follows:
QUESTION #1
(Pathway choice)
Conservative 65/79 82.28%
Progressive 12/79 15.19%
Undecided 2/79 2.53%
Total Responses 79/79 100%
These responses indicate that we will seek a Conservative Pathway! There will always be room for improvement as we seek to reach others for God’s Kingdom.
QUESTION #2
(WCA- Wesleyan Covenant Association)
(Updated results)
No 17/76 22.37%
Yes 57/76 75.00%
Undecided 2/76 2.63%
Total Responses 76/76 100%
With the results of the responses to this question, it has been decided to move forward with joining the WCA for a 1-year trial basis. At the end of that one year, it will be discussed as to whether or not we will continue that membership. We would like to add that the WCA is not a governing body of any church and that it also does not have a Book of Discipline. We also have received some informational brochures from the WCA, which are available in the foyer for you to take if you would like more information.
In Closing, we would again like to Thank All who participated in this process! We look forward to working together in ministry as we move forward!
Yours in Christ,
Pat Fillmore (SPPR Chair)
Don Laux (Admin. Bd. Chair)
